Authorities demolish ‘Machli Family’s’ encroached mansion

Bhopal: In a significant move against crime and illegal encroachment, the district administration today demolished a lavish mansion built on government land by the notorious ‘Mishra family’. The family is currently under investigation for a shocking case involving drug supply and forced religious conversions.

A surprise bulldozer operation

The operation was carried out with complete secrecy to prevent any resistance. Early Thursday afternoon, a massive team comprising district administration officials, police, and municipal staff arrived at the site in Hathai Kheda. They deployed six bulldozers to tear down the sprawling 15,000-square-foot mansion, estimated to be worth Rs 25 crore.

A force of around 400 police personnel, led by SDM Vinod Sonkia, was on hand to manage the situation as family members attempted to create a disturbance. The family also reportedly sought a court stay to halt the demolition, but the operation proceeded without interruption.

The crackdown continues

This is not the first action taken against the family. Following the revelations of their involvement in drug trafficking and illegal religious conversions, the administration has systematically targeted their illegal properties. The decision to demolish the Hathai Kheda mansion was based on confirmed intelligence that the construction was a blatant encroachment on public land.

Several key members of the family, including Shahwar Machli, his nephew Yasin and Shariq Machli have already been arrested in connection with the ongoing criminal case.
