New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman today chaired a meeting of the Consultative Committee attached to the Ministry of Finance.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, several parliamentarians, Secretary Department of Economic Affairs and senior officials of the Finance Ministry.
Ministry of Finance posted on X “ Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman chairs a meeting of the Consultative Committee attached to the Ministry of Finance at New Parliament House, in New Delhi, today.”
“ The meeting was also attended by the Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, Members of Parliament from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Secretary, D/0 Economic Affairs, and other senior officials of the Finance Ministry,” the post added.
Consultative Committees are informal fora established by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to facilitate discussions between MPs and government officials on policies of specific ministries.
