NABL launches a new medical application portal to ease the accreditation procedure

New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) today launched a new Medical Application Portal designed for ISO 15189:2022 applicant laboratories.

This online portal was introduced during a virtual event titled ‘GOING LIVE’, marking a major step in NABL’s goal to drive ease, efficiency, and transparency in the accreditation procedure.

Jaxay Shah, Chairperson, QCI, pointed out that with the release of the new NABL portal, tasks now get completed within two to three hours, which previously took two weeks or even months.

Shah also termed it as a quality disruptions in the quality ecosystem, and the new approach of NABL can now also be adopted by other sectors for embedding technology-driven efficiency, innovation, and responsiveness.

The platform launched by NABL Medical Application Portal has been designed to track flaws in the real-world operations of medical laboratories. The new portal has several key features, including a restructured application flow, standardized templates, a comprehensive pre-registration checklist, an intuitive interface, and multi-user access.

Sandip Shah, Chairperson, NABL, highlights the portal as a transformational step towards making the accreditation procedure more efficient due to multi-user access and simplified features.
NABL is a constituent body of Quality Council of India (QCI) which oversees quality standards across various sectors in India.
