Raksha Bandhan festival embodies love, commitment: Muni Shri

Bhopal: The Raksha Bandhan festival embodies love, commitment, and cultural devotion, said Muni Shri Praman Sagar Maharaj during a morning religious assembly in Awadhpuri on Monday. He emphasized that when a woman ties a thread on a man’s wrist, she is regarded as a sister, symbolizing purity and affection. According to Muni Shri, Rakshabandhan transcends the traditional notion of brotherly protection; it represents the safeguarding of our nation, society, culture, and nature.

Munishri noted that the festival is renowned worldwide for its celebration of sibling bonds, while different religions interpret it through their unique beliefs. In Jainism, this day serves as a foundation for maintaining the path to salvation, making it significant from various perspectives.

Spokesperson Avinash Jain remarked on the large turnout from Bhopal and surrounding areas, where devotees gathered to receive blessings from Muni Shri and tie Raksha Sutras as a pledge to protect their faith and sacred places. The event was conducted by Bal Br. Ashok Bhaiya, with Muni Shri Sandhan Sagar Maharaj and other Kshullaks present on stage.
