Hyderabad, Aug 10 (UNI) The Meteorological Centre today predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across Telangana between August 13 and 16.
In its daily weather report, the Met Department said heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, and Nagarkurnool districts during the next 24 hours.
It also predicted heavy rainfall to occur tomorrow at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nagarkurnool, and Narayanpet districts.
For Tuesday, the forecast includes heavy rainfall at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, and Nagarkurnool districts.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) are also likely at isolated places across Telangana over the next three days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at most places in the state over the next week.
The southwest monsoon remains normal over Telangana.
In the last 24 hours, heavy rain was recorded at a few places in Hyderabad and at isolated places in Narayanpet, Rajanna Sircilla, Kamareddy, Medak, Rangareddy, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Sangareddy districts.
Rainfall was reported from many parts of the state during the same period, the report added.
