- Parade him through streets
Bhopal: Kamla Nagar police have achieved a significant breakthrough, arresting a long-standing fugitive with a Rs 10,000 bounty on his head. The notorious criminal, Shubham Sardar (28), was wanted in multiple cases of assault and liquor smuggling across several police stations, including Kamla Nagar, Kolar, and TT Nagar. With over 50 criminal cases registered against him, his capture marks a major success for law enforcement.
After his arrest, Kamla Nagar police made a striking statement by parading the gangster on foot through the streets. Sardar had been on the run, using a disguise—shaving his head to change his appearance—to evade capture. However, a tip from an informant on August 8, 2025, led a dedicated police team to Sanjay Complex, where they successfully cornered and apprehended him.
During his time as a fugitive, Sardar had allegedly committed further acts of violence, including an assault and an attack with a sword in the Kolar area. Following his arrest, he was presented before a local court and has since been sent to jail. The successful operation underscores the police’s relentless efforts to maintain law and order in the city.
