From Rakhis to resumes: A day of innovation and learning

Sant Hirdaram Girls College celebrated Raksha Bandhan with a creative and career-oriented twist, hosting two enriching events that combined tradition with innovation and professional development. The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) Cell organized a unique DIY Rakhi-Making Celebration, where students enthusiastically crafted handmade Rakhis using leftover and upcycled materials.

The event promoted sustainability, skill-building, and self-motivation, encouraging students to think innovatively and transform waste into art. Alongside this cultural celebration, the Training & Placement Cell conducted a Skill-Based Workshop on LinkedIn Proficiency, guiding students on building a strong professional identity online. The session covered essential aspects such as creating a LinkedIn profile, understanding key features like “Open to” and “Add Section,” writing engaging posts, and distinguishing between social and professional networking.

Both events were well-received and provided students with a holistic learning experience that blended creativity, culture, and career preparation. Dr. Dalima Parwani, the Principal of the college appreciated the students’ active participation.
