Bhopal: The festival of Hariyali Teej was celebrated with traditional fervor and joy at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the wife of the Museum Director, Prof. Amitabh Pandey. Around 100 women adorned in vibrant green attire gathered amidst the gentle Sawan drizzle to celebrate this culturally rich occasion.
The event featured a variety of engaging activities including musical chair, puzzle solving, folk songs, group dance, and mehndi application. The participants enthusiastically immersed themselves in the festivities, creating a joyful and harmonious atmosphere.
The event was skillfully coordinated by Mrs. Smita Page, with active support from women staff members of the museum including Mrs. Neelam Shrivastava, Mrs. Aarti Patel, Mrs. Chaudhary, Mrs. Chitra Deshpande, Mrs. Uma Vishwas, Mrs. Sudha Jain, Dr. Sudipa Roy, and the wives of other museum employees.

Women employees and visiting guests participated together, enjoying swings, singing, and laughter, turning the celebration into a vibrant cultural affair. Director Prof. Pandey highlighted that the celebration was a tribute to women, reflecting the spirit of feminine energy, cultural unity, and tradition.
PRO Hemant Bahadur Singh Parihar described the celebration as a musical and joyful tribute to womanhood. In addition, colorful performances were presented by 40 women from the Sandhiksha family (BSF soldiers’ wives) and 30 women of Nandishwar Mahila Mandal, adding further charm to the festivities.
