BSSS hosts expert lectures on sustainable technology and green innovation

Bhopal: The Department of Science at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), organized two impactful expert lectures and a plantation drive under the theme “Sustainable Technology for Greener Environment: Minimize Waste, Maximise Life.” The event was supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), NCSTC, and MPCST.

Dr. Amit Dubey, Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, MANIT Bhopal, delivered the first lecture, offering valuable insights into sustainable technologies. He emphasized concepts like the circular economy, renewable energy, and green materials, inspiring participants to adopt eco-friendly innovations.

The second session, “Green Reboot: Tech-Driven Forest and Waste-Free Future,” was led by Dr. Sakshi Bharadwaj, Founder of Junglevase, Bhopal. She showcased tech-driven strategies for afforestation and waste reduction, highlighting green startups and digital tools that foster environmental conservation. Her lecture encouraged youth involvement in eco-entrepreneurship.

A plantation drive within the campus followed the lectures, engaging faculty, students, and staff in creating a greener environment.

Principal Dr. Fr. John P. J. affirmed BSSS’s commitment to environmental responsibility, stating that such initiatives help students become responsible global citizens. Dr. Vandana Yadav, Head of the Department, coordinated the event, emphasizing the need for such platforms to shape a sustainable future.
