Bhopal: “Anxiety rushes in so fast that it destroys the peace of life and drives away the conscience,” said Munishri Praman Sagar Maharaj while addressing the morning religious assembly.
He explained that the root cause of anxiety lies in our thoughts—especially negative ones. If we focus on keeping our thoughts pure, we can control inner unrest. He advised that when one feels disturbed by an incident, they should pause, wait a little, and the negativity will transform into positivity.
Muni Shri emphasized that the mind is the mastermind behind all disorders. If controlled, it becomes our savior; if not, it can turn destructive. He recommended practicing “Bhavna Yoga” to gain mastery over the mind.
In the first stage of Bhavana Yoga, he advised praying for a calm and stable mind and repeating affirmations like “I remain comfortable, I remain calm, I remain restrained, I remain positive.” These words, he said, imprint positive sanskars in our consciousness, which help dispel anxiety.
In the second stage, one should mentally apologize for past anger or negative reactions. The third stage involves taking a firm resolve to stay simple, peaceful, restrained, and positive. A special session on Bhavana Yoga will be held on Sunday, July 27, along with a discourse on the new book Feel to Heal.
