Bhopal: A shocking incident of snatching occurred near AIIMS Hospital in Bhopal, where two youths assaulted a delivery boy and fled with a parcel containing two Titan watches. The incident took place on 11th July and was reported to the police the same day.
According to Bagh Sewania police, the victim, Devendra Ahirwar, a resident of Awadhpuri and an employee of Flipkart, received an order placed by two persons—Pradeep Rana and Sameer Awasthi. The youths asked him to deliver the watches near Gate Number 2 of AIIMS Hospital.
When Devendra arrived at the spot with the parcel, the youths checked the watches and suddenly pushed him before fleeing with the items. Devendra immediately informed Dial 100, and a police team reached the location for investigation. Despite an extensive search, the accused could not be located initially.
Later, the police registered an FIR and began tracing the culprits using the mobile numbers used to place the order. One of the accused resides in Shahjahanabad, while the other lives in Shriram Complex, Misrod. Police officials have assured that both will be apprehended soon.
