Indiramma Govt committed to fulfilling dreams of poor: Minister Seethakka

Mulugu (Telangana), July 11 (UNI) The Telangana government is firmly moving ahead with the vision of fulfilling the dreams of the poor, said State Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women and Child Welfare, Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka, during her visit to the district on Friday.

Laying the foundation stone for Indiramma Housing at SC Colony, Minister Seethakka launched the Indiramma Indla Bhoomi Pooja and construction work, emphasising the government’s commitment to providing housing for the underprivileged.

She was accompanied by Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Sampath Rao, Market Committee Chairman Rega Kalyani, and Library Organisation Chairman Ravi Chander.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Seethakka said, “With the goal of ensuring every poor family, especially girls, has a safe and dignified home, the state is offering ₹5 lakh for the construction of each Indiramma house. These houses must be completed at the earliest so that families can begin a better chapter in their lives.”

She reiterated that the “public government” will continue to prioritise welfare schemes and ensure they reach every deserving beneficiary. Local officials, including Municipal Commissioner Sampath, MPDO Ramakrishna, and several Indiramma House Committee members and colony residents, also participated in the event.

Later in the day, Minister Seethakka inaugurated the Sammakka Saralamma Adivasi Sahakar Samakhya Addakula Plate Manufacturing Unit at Motlagudem in Govindaraopet Mandal. The initiative is a collaboration between Randstad Global Capability Centre and Sayodhya Home for Women in Need, aimed at promoting self-reliance and economic empowerment for tribal and marginalised women.

As part of the Vana Mahotsav celebrations, the minister also planted a sapling, reinforcing the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
