Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) Bollywood star and filmmaker Aamir Khan is set to take centre stage as the chief guest at the 16th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), scheduled to run from August 14 to 24, 2025.
Hailed as a cinematic trailblazer with an enduring legacy, Khan will be honoured at the prestigious festival with a curated tribute to his pioneering contributions to Indian cinema. The latest edition of the festival will feature a special screening of Aamir Khan’s films celebrating his immense contribution to Indian cinema, with a special highlight being a session on his new film “Sitaare Zameen Par”. IFFM 2025 will feature a special screening of a few selected Khan’s films to honour his artistic contribution, showcasing his socially relevant and bold stories.
Talking about the festival, Aamir says, “I’m humbled and thrilled to be a part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.”
Aamir said he was looking forward to engaging with audiences, sharing some of his most cherished work, and being part of conversations that celebrate the power of films.
