Mumbai, June 25 (UNI) Zee Studios, in association with Contiloe Pictures, has released the gripping trailer of its action drama ‘Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti’.
Drawing from the real-life terrorist attack in 2002 on Akshardham temple in Gujarat, the film chronicles not only the unspeakable brutality of that day but also the subsequent, high-stakes covert military response, codenamed ‘Operation Vajra Shakti’.
Directed by Ken Ghosh and headlined by Akshaye Khanna, the film is poised to offer a poignant re-examination of one of the most harrowing chapters in India’s recent history.
Director Ken Ghosh said, “At the heart of every decision we made, we were conscious that this wasn’t just a story, it was a national tragedy, a trauma for many, and also a moment of bravery. Akshaye brings an intensity and integrity that only few actors possess. He doesn’t just play a character, he inhabits it with intelligence and depth. We needed someone who could convey command, calm under fire, and inner conflict without melodrama.”
Produced by Abhimanyu Singh, with creative backing from Zee Studios and Contiloe Pictures, ‘Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti’ is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on July 4.
