Many programs will be organized in Dharti Aaba village

  • Empowering Tribal Communities

Bhopal: The Government of India is running two key missions—Pradhan Mantri Janjati Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM Janman) and Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)—to uplift and empower tribal communities across the country. These initiatives aim to ensure comprehensive access to services and infrastructure in tribal regions.

Under this framework, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched the ‘Dharti Aaba Abhiyan – Awareness and Benefits Saturation Camp’ from 15 June to 30 June 2025. The campaign seeks to make beneficiaries aware of their entitlements and promote active participation in development programs.

In Bhopal district, Village Bhanpur Kekadia was the only village selected for the campaign. A training session was organized by the Fisheries Department, where Dr. Agnihotri, Assistant Director, guided villagers on fish farming techniques and shared details of schemes like Pradhan Mantri Sampada Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Yojana.

The focus was on enhancing nutritional security, promoting inland fisheries, blending traditional knowledge with innovation, and enabling self-reliance at the Gram Panchayat level.
