Heavy rains forecast for Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal,  Madhya Pradesh is already experiencing pre-monsoon showers as the monsoon prepares its official arrival. On Thursday, heavy rainfall across Bhopal, Indore, and other districts brought a welcome chill to the weather. The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains for various districts over the next two days.

According to the forecast, Shivpuri, Satna, Anuppur, Dindori, Chhatarpur, Maihar are likely to experience heavy downpours on Friday. A rain alert has also been issued for Sidhi and Rewa districts for Saturday. Meteorologists predict continued rainfall in Dhar, Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur Kalan, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, and Narsinghpur. During these showers, winds could gust up to 40-50 km/h.

The Meteorological Department indicates favorable conditions for the southwest monsoon to advance further into the remaining parts of the North Arabian Sea, Gujarat and some parts of Rajasthan, additional areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and some areas of East Uttar Pradesh over the next two days.
