Bhopal: A tragic road accident occurred near IT Park on New Jail Road, Bhopal, where a young girl student preparing for competitive exams lost her life after being hit by an unknown vehicle. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Rochelle, daughter of Solomon (23), a resident of Minal Residency and originally from Chhindwara. After completing her B.Tech from a private college on Raisen Road, she was preparing for competitive exams.
According to Gandhi Nagar police, Rochelle had gone to a dhaba on Parwalia Road with a friend to have coffee late Wednesday night. While returning around 3:30 am on Thursday, an unidentified vehicle collided with their two-wheeler near IT Park. Rochelle sustained serious injuries and succumbed to them during treatment in the morning. Her friend, who was riding the bike, was injured.
The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to identify the vehicle and driver involved in the incident.
