- For approving Omkareshwar’s Advaita Lok Kala Museum
Bhopal: The administration of Shringeri Sharada Peetham in Karnataka has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for approving Rs. 2,195 crore for the construction of the grand Advaita Lok Kala Museum at Ekatma Dham in Omkareshwar.
P A Murali, administrator of Shringeri Sharada Peetham, stated that the decision taken during the cabinet meeting under the visionary leadership of CM Dr. Yadav to develop the museum as a Global Center of Oneness is historic. He said that the initiative is not only a magnificent tribute to the timeless teachings of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya but will also serve as a beacon of Advaita Vedanta on the world stage.
CM invited to visit Shringeri Math in Karnataka
Murali further added that the inauguration of the 108-foot-tall Statue of Oneness of Adi Shankaracharya, built as part of the first phase of Ekatma Dham, is a matter of immense pride for the Vedic scholars and devotees of the Shringeri Math. He also extended a formal invitation to CM to visit the revered Shringeri Math, which was established by Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya over 1200 years ago on the banks of the holy Tunga River in Karnataka.
As the first of the four Amnaya Peethas, the math is sanctified by the divine presence of Goddess Sharadamba, the presiding deity of knowledge, and has always been a sacred center of learning, spirituality, and tradition.
CM Dr. Yadav envisions transforming Omkareshwar into a major spiritual and tourist destination—on par with Ujjain—before the Simhastha Kumbh of 2028. The site holds immense significance in the religious and spiritual tourism landscape of Madhya Pradesh.
