Kerala to seek Rs 1440 crore aid for IT development

Thiruvananthapuram, June 16 (UNI) Kerala will submit a proposal of Rs 1440 crore for its IT department to the Centre, Minister for General Education and Labour V Sivankutty said on Monday.

The Minister, who left for Hyderabad to attend the ‘Meet of South Indian Labour and Skill Development Ministers’, said the proposals will be submitted to Union Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Jayant Chaudhary.

Kerala will also demand the Union Ministry’s support for conducting the Metro Rail Technology course in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, which has already been sanctioned for Kerala.

Kerala will also seek assistance for establishing two Multi-Language Institutes, he added.
