Sydney/Bhopal: The tragic Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, involving Sonam Raghuvanshi, continues to dominate national conversation. Amidst widespread discussion, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, head of Bageshwar Dham, has offered a surprising take on the matter, also weighing in on love versus arranged marriages. Shastri candidly stated that such incidents have made “unmarried men like him scared.” He further declared both love and arranged marriage systems as “flawed.”

“Deities emerging from blue drums,” says Shastri

Currently conducting a spiritual discourse in Sydney, Australia, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri made these startling remarks during his address. He alluded to a disturbing trend, referencing a recent incident in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, before directly mentioning the Sonam Raghuvanshi case.

“It seems a dangerous trend has emerged. Deities are emerging from blue drums,” Shastri quipped, referring to alarming incidents. “Nowadays, wives are following a very dangerous trend. Each one more dangerous, emerging from blue drums. Haven’t you heard? Just yesterday, there was new news, Sonam. When we see such cases, unmarried men like me are getting scared.”

“Both love and arranged marriages are useless”

Shastri also shared his evolving perspective on marriage. “Initially, I thought arranged marriages were good, then I thought love marriages were good,” he remarked. “But now, both seem useless. Especially after hearing about this ‘Raja’ incident, it’s truly terrible.”
