Bhopal: Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, Debashish Tripathi, conducted a detailed window-trailing inspection from Khandwa to Rani Kamlapati station on Friday. The primary focus was on evaluating the track conditions, safety infrastructure, signaling systems, and the progress of redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Khirkia Station – Safety under the lens
At Khirkia, DRM Tripathi carried out a meticulous inspection of safety protocols, including signal interlocking systems, level crossing operations, and platform safety measures. He reviewed the ongoing preliminary development under the Amrit Bharat initiative and instructed officials to further enhance passenger amenities.
Harda Station – Commendable redevelopment work
At Harda station, the DRM assessed the rapid progress of redevelopment efforts under the scheme. He inspected facilities such as platform extensions, waiting halls, restrooms, drinking water provisions, and foot overbridges. He also reviewed key safety mechanisms like interlocking systems and crossing functionality, urging teams to prioritize quality, deadlines, and commuter convenience.
Banapura Station – Balanced evaluation of safety and services
The inspection at Banapura focused equally on passenger comfort and operational safety. Facilities such as ticket counters, platform shelters, lighting, and signage were reviewed, along with track points and crossings.
Speaking after the inspection, DRM Tripathi emphasized, “Safety is our top priority, and passenger satisfaction is our mission. We are committed to creating cleaner, safer, and more modern railway stations across the Bhopal division.”
Senior officials, including engineering, signaling, and commercial heads, accompanied the DRM during the inspection.
