BJP President Vishnu Dutt Sharma criticizes congress’ protest as ‘Theft and Arrogance’

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh BJP President Vishnu Dutt Sharma sharply criticized Congress for its ongoing protests over the National Herald case, calling them an “exemplary case of theft and arrogance.” Speaking at a press conference at the party’s state office, Sharma accused Congress of consistently indulging in politics of lies and deceit. He stated that the protests against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax Department were nothing more than a tactic to exert undue pressure on constitutional institutions.

The ED’s chargesheet, which includes the names of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, is purely a technical and legal matter, Sharma explained. Instead of protesting, Congress should present its case based on legal and technical grounds in court.

Sharma also pointed out that the National Herald case dates back to 2012, during Congress’s rule. A public interest petition in 2013 led to the case being registered under the Delhi High Court, well before the Modi government came to power. He questioned Congress allies about who orchestrated the conspiracy against the Gandhis, as the case was initiated under Congress rule, making their current protests politically irrelevant.
