Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress media cell president Mukesh Nayak called the alleged misbehavior and assault on the priest by the son of a BJP MLA for opening the doors of the Chamunda Mata Tekri temple located in Dewas district headquarters a shameful incident and demanded a fair investigation into the matter.
Nayak strongly condemned the incident. He attacked the BJP government, calling the incident a living proof of misuse of power and moral degradation of the BJP. He said that the BJP, which calls itself the contractor of religion and culture, has been completely exposed today. The BJP is maintaining silence on the case of hooliganism and assault on the priest in the middle of the night at the temple of Mata Chamunda by Rudraksh Shukla, son of Indore MLA Golu Shukla.
He said that the inaction of the police in this incident shows the degradation of law and order under the pressure of power. If a common citizen had done such an act, he would have been immediately put in jail.
