The inspection, led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Saurabh Kataria, targeted the train’s pantry car and the adjacent coach B-1. Officials successfully seized 84 bottles of unapproved packaged drinking water.
These non-railway-approved brands were immediately confiscated by a joint team comprising Commercial Inspectors and the Station Manager. Senior DCM Kataria stated the crackdown aims to provide passengers with pure, standard-approved water and curb unauthorized sales on railway premises. He confirmed that such surprise inspections will continue across the division to uphold quality standards.
