- Bhopal police cracks down
Bhopal – In a firm move to ensure compliance, the Bhopal Police have suspended eight officers who failed to report to their new postings after receiving transfer orders. The suspension orders were issued by DCP Shraddha Tiwari, and among those disciplined are one Sub-Inspector (SI) and one Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).
The suspensions follow a major reshuffle within police stations, initiated under the directives of the Director General of Police (DGP). Reports had been circulating that several officers were deliberately avoiding their new assignments, attempting to leverage connections to remain in their current stations.
To investigate these complaints, DCP Headquarters Shraddha Tiwari requested a detailed report on the implementation of the transfer orders. This revealed that despite receiving official orders, many officers had simply remained at their old stations, never officially reporting to their new posts. Upon receiving this information, the DCP took swift and decisive action, suspending the eight officers.
The suspended personnel include Sub-Inspector Sabir Khan, ASI Ramavatar, Head Constables Naresh Kumar Sharma, Manohar Lal, Chandramaul Mishra, Virendra Yadav, and Constables Kapil Chandravanshi and Prashant Sharma. Sources indicate that several other officers have also received warnings, urging them to immediately report to their new assignments without further delay. It’s anticipated that a second list of suspensions could be issued in the coming days as the police department continues to enforce its directives.
