On the maiden direct flight from Dubai to Indore, a seven-year-old boy Mufaddal Saify will fly solo for the first time in his life from dubai to Indore. Air India’s latest flight starting 15 July from Indore to Dubai and on 16 July Dubai to Indore , connecting directly without any stoppage. Mufaddal or his parents or his grandparents would have never dreamt of sending the child alone on a flight, let alone an international flight. However, the direct flight has made travel much safer, saving a lot of hassle for many.
This might be just a start for many other children to follow, as their parents head for Hajj and grandparents stay in Indore. Sharing his experience over a telephonic call, Mufaddal said, “I am very excited to fly, but I was scared at first, because I don’t generally go anywhere alone.” He likes planes and hopes to learn flying a plane in future. “I am going to be on the first flight ever! This is definitely going to make a special page in my scrap book,” Mufaddal said.
Sharing the reason behind sending their child alone, his parents Sakina and Nuruddin Saify said, “It is very rare and lucky to get a chance to go on Hajj, and we were selected this year!” The couple resides in Dubai since last couple of years. “We had migrated for work, but my parents stay in Indore, where I was born and brought up,” Nuruddin said.
With his grandparents (Rukhsana and Ismail Saify) in Indore and parents with a rare opportunity to go on Hajj, it was a baffling situation for the family. “Luckily, when they announced a direct flight, it was our ray of hope, which we call ‘Allah ki Rehmat’,” Rukhsana said.
