45 health institutions certified under NQAS

Bhopal: Five more Ayushman Arogya Mandirs of Bhopal have been certified under the National Quality Assurance Standard. In the certification issued by the National Health System Resource Center, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Ratibad qualified with 89.51% and Tumda with 83.46% marks among primary health centers. Ayushman Arogya Mandir Majidgarh got 82.83%, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Balampur got 87.60%, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Pipaliya Baj Khan got 84.03% marks among sub-health centers. These institutions were evaluated in the month of March. Including these, till now 35 health institutions of Bhopal have been certified in the National Quality Assurance Standard. These include district hospitals, civil hospitals, community health centres, primary health centres, urban health institutions and Ayushman Arogya Mandir.

During the evaluation of National Quality Assurance Standards, records of institutions, information about services being provided to patients, feedback of service providers and beneficiaries are taken. Under the National Quality Assurance Standards, eight areas such as service provision, patients’ rights, inputs, support services, clinical care, infection control, quality management and outcome are included.

A checklist of 7 different service packages has been prescribed for the evaluation of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. In which information is taken about pregnancy and infant health care, childhood and adolescent health services, family welfare services, treatment and management of non-communicable diseases and communicable diseases, outreach activities including newborn care and all national health programmes.
