40 Delhi Departments to get digital training ahead of winter assembly session: Speaker

New Delhi, 27 Nov 2025 (UNI) Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta announced on Thursday a two-day digital training programme for all 40 departments of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

The move is aimed at equipping the assembly members for paperless handling of legislative work using the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) system, introduced in the state assembly earlier this year.

The system was introduced during the monsoon session for the digital transition of Delhi’s legislative Assembly. In the two-day training scheduled for December 2 and December 3, legislators will be guided on how to respond to Assembly questions, submit bills, and perform all related legislative work using the e-governance system, officials noted.

Gupta stated that with the upcoming Winter Session of the Assembly, this shift to 100% paperless operations will significantly enhance efficiency, transparency, and the smooth conduct of legislative proceedings. He further stressed that transitioning to a digitally empowered system is essential for strengthening accountability and ensuring timely responses from all departments.

The Speaker directed that all arrangements and coordination be completed promptly to ensure a seamless rollout during the forthcoming session.
