Kabul, Sep 4 (UNI) A 4.7-magnitude earthquake jolted 13 km ENE of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province, on Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The epicenter, located at a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 34.46 degrees north latitude and 70.59 degrees east longitude.
This tremor comes just days after a 6.0-magnitude earthquake devastated eastern Afghanistan late Sunday, killing over 1,400 people and injuring more than 3,000 in eastern Kunar, Nangarhar, and Laghman provinces.
