Bhopal: A tragic incident has rocked the Jehangirabad area, where a man died by suicide, just three months after his wife took her own life. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
The deceased, Ravi Shakya (35), a Bhopal Municipal Corporation employee residing in Rastipura, was found dead after hanging himself at his home yesterday afternoon. His body was sent for a post-mortem examination.
Police investigation revealed that Ravi’s wife, Shweta, had tragically died by suicide three months prior after consuming poison.
Since her passing, Ravi had reportedly been suffering from severe depression and stress, leading him to take this extreme step. Although no suicide note was recovered, pointing to mental distress following his wife’s death as the likely cause, the police are continuing their probe to understand the full circumstances behind the devastating sequence of events.
