3 minor girls rescued at Bhopal railway station

  • Run away from their home in Delhi after scolding of parents

Bhopal: Three minor girls who had fled from their home in Delhi were found at Bhopal Junction Railway Station on Thursday by alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel. According to officials, the girls had run away after being scolded by their parents and had boarded a random train without informing anyone.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Raghvendra Singh noticed the trio during his routine patrol at Platform No. 1. The girls appeared frightened and were sitting alone. Sensing something was amiss, he alerted female constable Uma Patel, who comforted the girls and tried to communicate with them. Despite making inquiries with nearby passengers, no one could provide any information about the girls.

RPF personnel contacted the girls’ families

The girls were then taken to the RPF post for further questioning. Upon being consoled, they shared that they had left home after a disagreement with their parents. RPF personnel contacted the girls’ families using the phone numbers provided.

As per protocol, the girls were given a basic medical check-up and then handed over to the Gauravi Sakhi Centre in Bhopal for shelter and counselling. Officials confirmed that the girls would be reunited with their families once they arrive and complete the required formalities.
