3-Day Scout & Guide Testing Camp concludes successfully in Bhopal Division

Bhopal: Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Debashish Tripathi and the patronage of Divisional Chief Commissioner (Scouts & Guides) and Additional DRM Bhopal, Mrs. Rashmi Diwakar, a three-day advanced testing camp was successfully organized for Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers of the Bhopal Railway Division. The camp was held at the Railway Training Institute, located within the Rail Coach Factory campus in Bhopal.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Akshay Gangarwal, Works Manager, CRWS, who hoisted the flag. Participants were rigorously assessed on various levels of scouting and guiding—Pravesh, Pratham, Dwitiya, Tritiya Sopan, and Nipun—covering topics like rules, promises, first aid, knotting, estimation, and map reading. Successful candidates will be recommended for the General Manager’s Award.

A vibrant campfire ceremony featured captivating performances including Shri Ram Stuti, Punjabi folk dance, and Shiv Tandav, mesmerizing the audience. Distinguished guests included Mr. Vijay Singh, Sr. Personnel Officer and Divisional Scout Commissioner, and Dr. Shruti Medhkar, Sr. Medical Officer and Divisional Guide Commissioner.

Around 50 participants attended the camp. A special highlight was a public awareness rally dedicated to environmental consciousness. The camp was expertly coordinated by Mr. Jitendra Purohit, with key support from a dedicated team of scout leaders and volunteers.
