24 Civic Services Now Available Online in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal – In a significant development, residents of Madhya Pradesh will soon be able to access 24 essential civic services, such as birth and death certificates, water connections, and building permits, from the comfort of their homes. The state government is set to launch the E-Nagar Palika 2.0 portal, with Bhopal Municipal Corporation serving as the pilot project. If successful, the portal will be rolled out across all municipal corporations, municipalities, and town councils in the state.

The E-Nagar Palika 2.0 portal promises to streamline access to government services while enhancing transparency in administrative processes. Currently, citizens have to endure long delays and often pay bribes to obtain certificates or permissions. The new online system will significantly reduce corruption and save valuable time. Services available through the portal include birth and death certificates, property tax payments, water connections, building permits, shop licenses, and other essential municipal documents. In addition to these services, 16 other modules will assist in administrative tasks.

The portal will be equipped with advanced GIS (Geographic Information System) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology. These features will simplify services and improve data management, preventing misuse of public funds and ensuring better access to government schemes for those in need. After the successful testing of the system in Bhopal, the portal will be expanded to other urban local bodies. This initiative marks a significant step forward in promoting digital government services in Madhya Pradesh.
