Suicide or Foul Play in Gwalior?
Gwalior: Panic spread in Gwalior after the body of a young woman was discovered hanging by a rope from the third-floor railing of Madhav Plaza, sparking a police investigation into the mysterious death.
Police and an FSL team rushed to the scene in the Kotwali area to secure the body and begin a preliminary probe. The deceased has been identified as Geeta Tomar of Sikandar Kampu.
While police initially suspect suicide, the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear. Authorities confirmed that Tomar had been undergoing treatment for mental distress for the past two years and had left her home last night. Crucially, witnesses at the plaza could not recall seeing her enter the building.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Police officials stated that the conclusive cause of death will only be determined after the report is received. They have assured that if the post-mortem reveals any foul play or inconsistencies, further action will be taken based on those findings.
