20k employment to be provided in state sector: CM Sukhu

Dharmshala (Tapovan), Dec 23 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday said that the state government would provide government jobs to 20 thousand people by the end of this financial year.

The Chief Minister was replying to a discussion in the House regarding disolution of Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur.

He said that state government had promised to provide one lakh government and private jobs in one year and efforts are on to fullfill employment garuntee .

He said that jobs avenues are being provided to only 20000 people in five years of previous years however this government would give 20000 employment avenues in the state sector and government is going to end exploitive outsourced recruitment.

He said that many youths who were hired on the outsource basis during previous rules could not continue their services as they were not qualified and recruited without professional qualification against the rules.

He said that after the dissolution of the Staff Selection Commission, the government has released the results of those recruitment code in which no paper were found leak.

The recruitment of 539 posts of various post codes of errestwhile Commission has been completed. The recruitment in various departments being done for 1455 posts and recruitment advertisements have been issued to fill 1086 posts.

Apart from this, the recruitment process of HAS, Judicial Service, Principal College Cadre, PGT and conductors is going on. The process of filling 2061 posts in Forest Department, 6500 posts of teachers in Education Department, 1230 posts of Police, 984 posts of Patwari, 800 posts of Staff Nurse, 600 posts of Operation Theatre Assistant (OAT) and other allied health services to be started by March this year. .

The Chief Minister said that his government took action on the complaints of paper leak in the Staff Selection Commission and dissolved it.

He said that 34 complaints were received in the Commission regarding paper leak, out of which cases have been registered in 11 of them. In nine complaints, they were closed as the allegations were not proved.

He said that out of 65 accused, 34 were arrested in this case. The government would recruit 162 posts through the new Staff Selection Commission. Efforts are being made to conduct and set the question paper on the computerised bases.

The Chief Minister said that the government will work on providing permanent employment to the youth by reducing outsourced recruitment and will also try to give priority in jobs based on their experience.

The Chief Minister said that outsourced employees are exploited and their future is not secure, in such a situation the government would work on providing them employment under a permanent policy. He said that the government is sympathetic towards outsourced employees and will help them within the ambit of law.

Decision would be taken after taking legal opinion on 817 post code

Chief Minister said that during the time of Jairam government, most of the recruitments remained stuck in the court, including JOA( IT) postcode 817. After the decision of the Supreme Court, the government is now taking legal opinion regarding its result and will take the decision on its basis only.

Earlier, while discussing the proposal, Satpal Satti said that the government had given employment guarantee in which it was said to provide jobs to one lakh people in one year and five lakh people in five years.

But the recruitment process which was started by previous rules was stalled leaving lakhs of students in limbo. The dissolved the Staff Selection Commission couldn’t establish after passing of a year.

Urging to reinstated the SSC he said that recruitment process should be started soon.

Congress MLA Chandrashekhar said that due to paper leak in the SSV, the recruitment of about 2.92 lakh youth was affected. He said that it is necessary to take steps to restore the commission.

According to a report, the unemployment rate in Himachal has reached 33 p c , previous BJP rule only did the work of forming a committee for outsourced employees and this committee remained limited to meetings for five years.

He said that the ruling party and the opposition need to work together for this employment.

Sukhram Chaudhary, while participating in the discussion, cornered the government on the guarantees, he said that such assurance has made the state government unpopular in one year of its rule.
