- Goods worth Rs 7 lakh including bikes recovered
Bhopal: Ayodhya Nagar Police has arrested 2 notorious criminals including a minor and seized a total of 19 stolen mobile phones from them. A bike used in the crime has also been recovered from the possession of the accused. The total value of the seized goods is said to be Rs 7 lakh. In the initial interrogation, the criminal has admitted to committing mobile robbery in various areas of the city.
DCP Zone No. 2 Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said that the complainant Vikram Singh Verma (42) lives in Rajiv Nagar A-Sector. On the night of January 19, at around 9 pm, he was walking near Queen Mary School, when two miscreants on a motorcycle suddenly snatched the mobile phone from his hand and fled.
About two hours after this incident, a mobile robbery took place with Vikas Nagar Govindpura resident Laxman Panchole (55) near Chetak Bridge under MP Nagar police station.
The police team detained two suspects after watching the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the spot and on the road and with the help of informers. On interrogation, both of them accepted to have looted mobile phones in different areas of the city.
Bike of youth who fainted in accident stolen
A case of bike theft of a youth who fainted during an accident in Nazirabad area has come to light. When the bike was not found even after searching, the victim went to the police station and lodged a report of theft. Criminals have stolen two-wheelers from many other places as well.
According to the information, Vinod Ahirwar (27) is a resident of village Sochna, police station Murwas district Vidisha and is a farmer. On January 15, he went to visit the Kolukhedi Durga temple in village Nazirabad. At around 7:30 in the evening, he was returning to his home after visiting the temple. Suddenly his bike went out of control near the Kolukhedi culvert, due to which he fell on the roadside along with the bike.
He felt dizzy due to the fall, so the passersby picked him up and made him sit on the roadside and his bike remained lying there. After regaining consciousness after some time, when he reached the spot, he could not find the bike. When the bike could not be found even after searching in the surrounding area, Vinod went to the police station on Monday and filed a report of theft.
