- Mass oath taken to prevent child marriage
Bhopal: 150 active girls of Shaurya Dal were trained in a one-day non-residential training workshop under “Mission Shakti” by the Women and Child Development Department in the meeting hall of the District Panchayat, Bhopal. This training was organized with the aim of preparing 15-15 girls selected from each project of the district as master trainers. The age of the participating girls was between 15 to 45 years.
In the workshop, the participants were trained by experts on important topics like concept of gender, child protection, types of child violence, prevention of child marriage and self-defense skill building. The experts who gave training included Mrs. Archana Sahay Aarambh Sanstha, Mrs. Indu Saraswat Mamta Sanstha and Shri Govind Pal Rakshit Kendra, Bhopal.
Assistant Director, Project Officer, Protection Officer and other concerned officers were also present on this occasion. At the end of the workshop all the participants took a collective oath against child marriage.
