- When Classrooms Met the Forest
Neemuch: The Anubhuti eco-camp concluded on an inspiring note as around 130 students and teachers experienced the wonders of nature during a forest excursion organised at Mahua Khal in the Dorai forest beat. The program was conducted by the Jawad Forest Range in coordination with the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department and the Eco-Tourism Development Board.
Students from Government Higher Secondary School, Ratangarh, and Government Middle School, Dorai, learned about forests, wildlife and environmental conservation through hands-on activities. They were sensitised to the importance of protecting nature, informed about forest vegetation, medicinal plants, and safety measures against venomous snakes.
Each student received an Anubhuti kit, while games, quizzes and a general knowledge test added excitement. Forest Range Officer Vipul Prabhat Karoria’s lively tiger dance left a lasting impression on the children. Guided forest walks introduced students to birds, animals and conservation work. The presence of public representatives further encouraged the young participants to become future guardians of nature.
