100 meter radius of Van Vihar declared eco-sensitive

Bhopal: Keeping in mind the safety of wildlife, the Madhya Pradesh government has declared a radius of 100 meters from the boundary of Van Vihar National Park as an eco-sensitive zone. This decision has been taken with the aim of protecting wildlife and reducing human-wildlife conflict. In the last 15 days, a joint committee of the Revenue Department and the Forest Department demarcated the boundary of Van Vihar. During this process, no objection has been received from the local residents.

Officials said that this step is in line with the government’s goal of keeping the wild animals safe and allowing all the people of the society to do their work peacefully. Three villages, Prempura, Amkheda and Dharampura, falling in this area have been demarcated.

In Dharampura, symbolic demarcation has been done due to waterlogging, while in other areas, demarcation has been done following the complete procedure. This decision of the government will play an important role in the conservation of the wildlife of Van Vihar and will help in maintaining ecological balance in the surrounding areas.
