Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there may be difference in opinions, but all should work unitedly for development. Great persons also teach us that they should not be placed in separate compartments.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a function after unveiling a lifesize statue of former Union Minister late Shri Madhavrao Scindia at Gwalior today. The function was presided over by Union Minister of State for Energy (independent charge) Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia. Shri Chouhan said that soil of Gwalior has given stalwarts like former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, late Smt. Vijayaraje Scindia and late Shri Madahvaro Scindia who always motivate us for serving people.
Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that for his father, Gwalior was not a constituency or divisional headquarters, but home town. By unveiling the statue, the Chief Minister has displayed his vast-heartedness, which should be there in every public servant. Member of Parliament Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for attending this unveiling programme.
At the outset, Mayor Smt. Sameeksha Gupta welcomed the guests, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and Smt. Madhviraje Scindia unveiled the statue. The guest duo paid floral tributes to late Shri Scindia.
In-charge of Gwalior district and Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Medical Education Minister Shri Anup Mishra, Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi, Members of Parliament Shri Narendra Singh Tomar and Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Rajya Sabha members Shri Prabhat Jha, Smt. Maya Singh and Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, MLAs Shri Pradyumn Singh Tomar, Smt. Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, Gwalior Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Brijendra Singh Jadon, Rajya Nidhan Ayog Chairman Shri Balendu Shukla, Gwalior Development Authority Chairman Ravindra Singh Rajput and several other people’s representatives were present on the occasion.
