Observing that the issues related to the security of women are extremely sensitive and important, Bollywood star Aamir Khan today said such an atmosphere should be created where no one could touch a woman even if she comes out alone late in the night. Efforts should be made at government level for improving the security of women and girls. However, a change in the mindset of every citizen is necessary for this purpose,” Khan told reporters here.

He was here to inaugurate ‘Gauravi’, a campaign for the honour and protection of women.

“I believe that steps should be taken to make girl child physically and mentally strong. Women are the centre of a family. If they become strong, family, society and country would become strong,” Khan said.
Underlining the need to make the boys cultured, he said that a change in their mindset was required. He emphasised the role of a family in teaching boys that how they should behave with women.
