New Delhi, June 26:
Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications on Friday said it has partnered with U.K. broadcaster BBC World Service to offer live audio service through the telecom major's R-World value-added services (VAS) platform. The partnership, aggregated by Worldwide Records, will see BBC World Service content available live across India through mobile phones, RCom said in a statement. The move is a part of the company's strategy to offer services in local languages. The subscribers can listen to the audio service through the week in five languages -- English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil and Bengali, it added."Radio is a very popular medium in rural India. Through this service, we wanted to offer same experience to our customers in their preferred language," Reliance Communications Head (VAS) Krishna Durbha said.
