News Flash Posted On Wednesday, June 24, 2009 | Agencies Mumbai, June 23: Designated court, conducting the trial of 26/11 attacks on the metropolis, today issued Non-bailable Warrant (NBW) against 22 accused residing in neighbouring Pakistan, wanted in connection with the terrorist attacks. Passing the order, special court judge M L Tahiliyani issued the warrant adressing to Mumbai Commissioner of Police, Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other authorities concerned, investigating the case. He directed them to produce all the wanted accused before the court. In his brief order, he said the NBW has been issued to only 22 persons as the details of five other were not received. Yesterday, special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam appealed to the designated court to issue NBW against 27 of the 35 wanted accused, who were presently residing in Pakistan, on receipt of their details. Moving an application, Mr Nikam told the court that the details of only 27 accused, including residential addresses, have been received through diplomatic channel. However, the full names of many were not known as yet. He had prayed to the court to issue NBW against the wanted and the same would be sent through diplomatic channel to them. In the list of the names and addresses of the wanted accused, some of the prime accused were Jaki-ur-Rehman Lakhavi, Abu Hamza, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed alias 'Hafiz Saab', Zarar Shah, Abu Abdul Rehman, Abu Umar Saeed, Abu Al Kama alias 'Amjid', Abu Mufti Saeed and Col R Saddautallah. The court also examined three witnesses in the November 26 attacks case.
