Congress trails in areas of two-dozen MLAs

Bhopal, May 21:
Owing to the excellent performance and success in Lok Sabha elections and after getting restored to power at Centre in Delhi Congress had to face defeat in State in areas of many MLAs of high stature. In the assembly constituencies of Ajay Singh who was State Congress Election Campaign Committee President, Vidhan Sabha deputy speaker Harvansh Singh, State Treasury President NP Prajapati and national secretary Vijaylaxmi Sadho party had to face defeat.
In the assembly constituency of Ajay Singh Churhat party was routed. Here party candidate Indrajeet Kumar was lagging behind with more than 11000 votes while at Kevlari in the election constituency of Harvansh Singh party lost be a margin of 4000 votes. In the constituency of Treasurer NP Prajapati, Gotegaon Congress was lagged behind with 4000 votes.

Two dozen MLAs lagged behind:

About two dozen MLAs failed to garner support of voters in their assembly constituency hence the party was lagging behind in their areas. Prominent MLAs in whose areas party lost are Adel Singh, Pradhum Singh Tomar, Llakhan Singh Yadavc, Arunoday Choubey, Govind Rajput, Yadvendra Singh, brijendra Singh Rathore, Narayan Prasad, Nishith Patel, Sanjay Pathak, Shrikant Dubey, Vikram Singh Natiraja, Lakhan Sandhoriya, Pradeep Jaisaval, Shivnarayan Meena, Kalpana Parulekar, Rajyavardhan Singh, Sukhdev Panse and Dharmu Singh.

Excellent performance in three districts:

Performance of Congress Party was excellent in three districts Hoshangabad, Dhar and Mandala, in Chhindwara in areas of party MLAs Congress was very successful. Direct interest of Suresh Pachouri in Hoshangabad and interest of Jamuna Devi in Dhar helped party in reaping good harvest.
Areas of MLAs where party was leading are: leader of opposition Jamuna Devi, Brajraj Singh Chouhan, Surendra Singh Choudhary, Ramnivas Ravat, Govind Singh, Imarti Devi Suman, KP Singh, Ratnesh Solomon, Gangabai Urati, Onkar Singh, Narayan Patta, Vishshwar Bhagat, Tejilal Saryam, Choudhari Mer Singh, Deepak Saxena, Sunil Jayaswal, Rawat Uday Pratap Singh, Sadhana Staphak, Bhagwan Singh, Arif Aqueel, Priyavrat Singh, Hukum Singh Karada, Sajjan Singh Verma, Dilip Gurjar, Ramlal Malviya, Mahendra Singh, Subhash Sojatiya, Vijendra Singh, Sulochana Rawat, Javier Meda, Vir Singh, Bal Singh Meda, Laxmi Devi, Prabhudayal Gehlot, Pratap Singh Greval, Umang Singar, Pranchilal Meda, Satyanarayan Patel, Ashwani Joshi, Tulsi Silavat and the area of Bala Bachchan.
* At Hoshangabad, Mandala, Dhar and Ratlam constituencies of MLAs performance of party was appreciable
* Defeat by 11000 votes in area of Ajay Singh
* Lagging behind in areas of NP Prajapati, Vijaylaxhmi and govind Rajput
