Promotion of Principals, Lecturers till November

The process of promoting principals, lecturers, and upper division teachers has been started in high and higher secondary schools, and their new appointments will be made till November.
As many as 4500 posts of principals are lying vacant in nearly 2108 higher secondary schools, while 3024 high schools have vacancy for 700 principals.
The posts lying vacant after filling these vacancies will be filled by promoting upper division teacher on seniority basis to the rank of lecturer.
Education directorate has begun preparing list of lecturers and upper division teachers on seniority basis.
According to sources, lecturers till 1990 will be promoted to the rank of principal of high schools while principals of high school till 2007 will be promoted to the rank of principals of higher secondary schools. Similarly, upper division teachers will be promoted as lecturers.
Education directorate will soon send promotion lists to the government, which will forward them after recommendation of education department to State Public Service Commission (PSC) for further action.
After approval of PSC, the promotion lists of principals, lecturers and upper division teachers will be issued till November.
