Bhopal Posted On Wednesday, July 28, 2010 | By Our Staff Reporter Bhopal, July 28: A delegation of Municipal representatives from Karnataka visited the development works under various development schemes concerning to slum housing, social development of poor, plastic wastes collection center at Bhanpur khanti and Vehicle Tracking Management System (VTMS) etc. run by the BMC, and appreciated these works. They also met BMC Mayor Krishna Gaur and commissioner Manish Singh and appreciated their works. The delegation led by Jitendra Nayak, Addl Director, Urban Administration, Government of Karnataka visited various areas of the city as Madrasi colony, Bajpai nagar, Gond Basti, Bhanpur khanti and other areas. The representatives began their visit from Link road no 2 where widening of roads is done with plantation and Vehicle Tracking Management System (VTMS) that enables fuel efficiency in the vehicle, kept at Central workshop. Visit included construction of 3328 houses at Idgah hills under JNNURM and Solid Waste Management collection center, at Bhanpur, which is built up with scientific technology to recycle the waste for enhancing revenue source of corporation. Renu Handa, Manager MP City Assoication, Ramappa Bhimappa Kolakar, MR Gireddy, SB Patil, other delegate members and BMC officials were present during the visit.
