United News of India Bangalore, July 15: Hidden Reflex, a Consumer oriented software product company in the country today announced the launch of nation's first-ever web browser, Epic, which also comes with free antivirus scanning and healing here today. Addressing a press conference here, Mr Alok Bharadwaj, CEO and Founder of the company, sawid the browser fitted with over 1500 Indian Themes and Wallpapers, representing all of India from Fredom Fithers to FIlm Stars, was created by a dedicated team of Indian engineers on the popular open-source Mozilla platform. He said Epic was designed in such a way it provides a unique Indian browsing experience. Epic's sidebar supports Indian content by providing user access to the latest national and regional news from popular publications, live television channels, videos, stock quotes, live cricket scores, top music albums and local events. Outlining the main features of the Epic, Mr Alok said the India Language Transiteration, a unique application, enables users to write e-mails and documents in their mother tongue simply and instantly using a regular English keyboard. Twelve Indian languages are currently supported, he said. He said free antivirus scanning and healing was built into the platform, the world's only browser to offer this service, empowers the users save money by performing regular virus scans for free. He said Epic is the first browser to have built a suite of sidebar applications to improve multi-tasking and productivity. Pre-installed applications include communication applications for facebook, Orkut, Gmail and more entertaining incuding picture-in-picture video sidebar and games, and utiliities like file Backup, My Computer, a to-do-list and maps. A team of 12 working since two years have developed the unique Web browser, Epic, he said.
