Indian girls excelled in recently-concluded AFC U-13 Girls Football Festival held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from March 13 to 17.
They first thrashed Bhutan 14-0 in the opener and then were held to a goalless draw by Jordan in the second match.
India U-13 Girls suffered the only defeat against Iran going down 1-0 but then came back strongly and registered a 2-0 victory over the hosts Sri Lanka.
In the return leg, there was no stopping to the confident U-13 Girls team as they defeated Jordan 2-0 and again edged past the Sri Lanka 1-0, an AIFF statement today said.
The Indian girls proved their supremacy drubbing Bhutan 12-0.
In the final encounter they took a sweet revenge from the Iran for their first leg defeat registering a 2-0 comfortable victory to end the festival on a high and convincing point.
