Academy invites all the registered cricket teams from Bhopal division. Tournament would b played under International 20-20 rules. Winner team would collect Rs 10000 as cash reward and Runnersup team Rs 5000. Virendra Vaid, President of the tournament told tournament is to develop players for state level matches from Bhopal division. Teams from Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior would b participating. BSF wins 5 gold on day 2 On the second day of 10th All India Police Shooting competition BSF took 5 gold medal. BSF on the top with 6 Golds. Assam Rifles stood second with 2 golds. MP got one success today when constable Gajendra Singh won Silver medal. SK Ghosh (BSF) won gold in 30yards Attack position while Harmeet Singh (CRPF) won Silver and Ashraf Sheikh (Assam Rifles) won Bronze medal. Rajesh (BSF) won gold in 25yards Quick reflex position, Silver to Ashraf Sheikh (Assam Rifles) and Bronze to Santhil Raj (TN). Akash Dobreal (Assam Rifles) won gold in Quick Firing-Lying position, Santhil Raj (TN) won Silver and SK Ghosh (BSF) won Bronze. Mohar Singh(BSF) won gold in 50yards Standing position, Kotesh (CISF) won silver and Muruganadam(TN) won Borinze. Jagdish Chandra won Gold in 200yards long range (Kneeling position), Gurmeet Singh (CRPF) won Silver, Rankesh Singh (BSF) won bronze. NITTTR Sports championship beings Inter NITTTR Sports Championship began here from Tuesday under the aegis of National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Shyamla Hills. Around 82 players from NITTTR Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata are taking part in the championship. Former Olympian Aslam Sher Khan was the chief guest of the opening programme. He gave the example of Holland and Germany about Hockey. The sports championship was inaugurated by flying balloons and freed pigeons. The championship is being organised at TT Nagar Stadium, Lal Parade Ground, NITTTR, Shyamla Hills.
National Rowing, Sprint championships end The concluding ceremony of the 33rd National Open Rowing Championship and 14th National Sprint Championship was held under the aegis of Rowing Association, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Home Minister Umashankar Gupta. AV Singh, Chief Election Commissioner was the chief guest of the programme. On the occasion, President of Rowing Federation of India CP Singhdeo, Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Sanjay Chaudhari, Shailendra Singh, RK Naidu and large number of eminent personalities were also present.
