Vidharbha wins Central Zone Veteran's Trophy

Bhopal, Mar 15:
Vidharbha beat UP by 79 runs lifted Central Zone Veteran's Cricket Trophy played at Bab-e-Ali ground. Winning toss Vidharbha captain Deepak decided to bat first made 265 for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 50 overs. In reply UP was all out for just 186 runs. Chief guest Dhurvnarayan Singh, MLA, Bhopal for the tournament distributed prizes to both the teams. On this occasion Secretary Javed Ansari welcomed all the guests.

NITTTR sports Tournament from today.
Inter NITTTR sports Tournament starts today at NITTTR. In this competition teams from Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai and Kolkata would be participating. Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom, Volleyball and Chess would be played in this tournament. Olympic player Aslam Sher Khan would open the tournament.

Police Shooting competition
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate 10 All India Police Shooting competition today at 10 am. Shooters from All India Police organizations would be competing for 52 Medals an 9 Trophies which would end on March 20. 29 teams, 710 players including 1 dozen Lady shooters from all over India reached Bhopal. Competition would be held at Eklavya Firing Range at Bhadbhada road. Here all short range and long range competition would be held.

Mohammad Mahmood appointed
BSNL Employee Mohammad Mahmood has been appointed as Arbitrary for PGS International Chess competition. Competition would be played in Kolkata from March 31 to April 7 under World Chess Federation procedure. Nearly 300 players would be participating in the competition. Mohammad Mahmood is first BSNL FIDE Arbitrary who had participated in Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Junior World cup, Asia Cup, National A games.
